Queen Eco Smart Farm (commonly known as Queen Farm) is a high-tech durian-focused agroforestry farm in Binh Phuoc, officially operating since 12 May 2020. Covering nearly 55 hectares with around 18,000 durian trees such as Dona, Musang King and Ri6, together with forestry trees like black starwood and red Sưa, the farm applies an ecological, sustainable and circular farming model.
More than 70% of its durian output is exported through official channels, while 30% serves the domestic market, mainly in the mid– to high-end segments. Queen Farm is committed not only to providing fresh, high-quality fruit, but also to elevating Vietnamese agricultural products globally, guided by the philosophy “Nurturing fruit, nurturing the future.” Queen Farm has achieved GLOBALG.A.P. certification and is one of only four organic farms in Viet Nam to receive this certification.
Nguyen The Tung - CEO of Queen Farm Eco-Agriculture Co., Ltd. – is deeply aware of the significant risks in agriculture. He has therefore standardized all “inputs,” from soil and water to seedlings and human resource management. Tung admits that the company has long been practicing ESG, though still in a somewhat fragmented way, and is committed to further integrating and standardizing ESG practices.
Queen Farm was named among the Top 3 enterprises in the ESG Initiative 2025 thanks to its relentless efforts over the past five years. In terms of environmental sustainability, the farm does not drill groundwater for irrigation. “We improve soil pH through tilling, sun-drying and liming, while protecting moisture with natural vegetation. To optimize irrigation, Queen Farm invested in an Israeli system with 75 km of pipelines and two large reservoirs, including one spanning 1.2 hectares, ensuring irrigation for six months of the dry season without exploiting underground aquifers,” Tung said.
Social responsibility: One of Queen Farm’s notable ESG initiatives is the “Green Book Policy.” This is a people-centered social welfare policy for long-term employees. Depending on years of service, capability and responsibility, employees are allocated a number of trees within the farm, and the annual harvest from those trees is distributed back to them. This helps employees feel secure and motivated to stay with the company. Even after retirement - or in the event of death - these benefits can be inherited by close family members. The policy demonstrates the farm’s deep gratitude to dedicated, capable workers while encouraging younger staff to contribute more.
Governance: At Queen Farm, operational records and land management systems are in place, but much of the work is still done manually. The company plans to fully digitize these processes to reduce fragmentation and improve efficiency.
CEO Nguyen The Tung emphasizes: “The market requires ESG integration in a systematic manner — it is a necessity, not an option.” As an SME, Queen Farm prepared thoroughly and professionally when presenting to the judging panel of the ESG Initiative 2025.
“I am truly grateful to the organizers of the ESG Initiative 2025 for recognizing our efforts. As a business owner, I am committed to genuine implementation and full ESG integration at Queen Farm,” Tung affirmed.
